Clothes. What are you wearing?

In Unit 5 (Practical English) we are studying vocabulary related to clothes. We have prepared three slide shows to review this vocabulary. Click on the first one to name some items of clothes. Then click on the second one to describe what some celebrities are wearing in the selected photos. After that, complete the activities on page 74 and 75 (English File, Practical English, In a clothes shop). Remember you can watch the videos if you use englisfileonline.com (follow the instructions on How to access English File Online Practice on the first page of your textbook).  Finally, click on the third slide show to review expressions we use when we buy clothes and other expressions found in this unit. Now, feel free to write a comment telling us what you are wearing right now (e.g. "I am wearing workout clothes all the time, but I don't really practise any sports). You can also use your WhatsApp group to send photos of each other and describe what you are wearing in those photos. Make it funny; try to wear crazy clothes. Remember, we can have fun while we practise our English.

    1. Hi, Aregny. If you really want to see if your exercise is really working during this quarantine and you aren't putting on weight, try on your jeans every other day because your pyjamas or workout clothes stretch a lot and you cannot trust them...ha, ha, ha! This is a joke someone sent me today in whatsApp.

  3. Hi, Alejandro. It's very nice to hear from you. I see you keep yourself warm. ha, ha, ha. Let me just tell you a little mistake you have made in your comment. You don't need to use the article "a" with plural nouns (eg. slippers, socks, trousers) but you have to use "a" when the noun that follows is singular (e.g. a blue T-shirt and a black and blue sweater). Your grammar and vocabulary was perfect. Thank you very much for your comment. It is fantastic to know there is someone on the other side of the screen.
Take care of yourself and keep in contact.

    1. Hi, Pablo. Nice to hear from you. Yes, pyjamas are very comfortable, but be careful because they don't let you know if you are putting on weight . hahaha. By the way, "pyjamas" is the British spelling; Americans spell it pajamas. There is a song I love which mentions that difference in pronunciation too. Check it in this link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dg2HKMFsers
      Hope you like it.
      Bye for now, Pablo.

    2. The link didn't come out right, so look in You tube for the song "Let's call the whole thing off" with lyrics so you can understand it better. ;)

    1. Oh, me too, Lorena. I can see the sea from my terrace (I'm a lucky person!), but I cannot swim and I miss it a lot.
It's been two weeks already. We are going to beat this battle. Cheer up!
