We are all listening to music these days much more than we used to do in the past. In lesson 6C (the last lesson we are going to study this school year) we are going to learn vocabulary related to music (instruments and kinds of music). Complete the activities on pages 88 and 89. Remember you can also find more activities online (you have to use the access code you will find on the first page of your textbook). Finally, complete the Youtube quiz I attached to this post and make a comment telling us if you play any instruments and / or what kind of music you like and what singers are you listening to during this quarantine. To practise your speaking you can have a video call with a classmate and interview your partner with the questionnaire on page 89 (activity 3).
Homework: You have to write an email following the instructions on page 201 (activity 5). You need to write it on a Word document and send it to me by email. Deadline: Sunday 3 May (included). Number of words: 100-120.

I dont play any instrument but I would really like, for example piano and I would really love knowing singing (its a impossible dream).
I dont usually listen music but when I listening are pop, soul (a little) and reggaeton.
Hi, Aregny. Yes I know how you feel. I can't sing either or play any instruments, but I really love music. I always say that in my next life I want to be a singer. When I sing, nobody can't recognise the song I'm singing except if they know the lyrics, but sometimes it can be funny too. I make people laugh a lot when we go to a karaoke bar. ha, ha, ha!

ReplyDeleteI don´t play any instrument in this moment, but, when I was a kid I played the violin , but, I left because the teacher frustated me a lot.Today I miss this a lot....I still keep my violin.
I always listen music, every day, I need music in my life every moment.
Oh, What a shame, Miranda! Violin is my favourite instrument, but it is true that it sounds awful when you don't know how to play it. That teacher you had was for sure a terrible teacher. We should never play with frustration as teacher. As you, I also love listening TO music (don't forget to use the preposition "to"). I listen to many kinds of music depending on the activity I'm doing. If I'm studying I have to listen to music without lyrics, but when I'm cleaning or cooking I love lively music. I'm listening to Kevin Johansen a lot these days. He's very ironic with his lyrics and I love his melodies. Very good looking too. ;) Look for him on youTube and tell me what you think.

Hi, Dácil! That's a good attitude. It's never too late to star learning a new instrument. My brother is learning to play the guitar too these days using YouTube videos and he sounds quite well. Go for it.
